The centre’s ophthalmologists screen for and monitor the main eye conditions, working closely with the orthoptist. Many requests for glasses are also an opportunity to detect an underlying condition.

Preparing for your appointment
- Bring your current glasses or lenses and your latest optical prescription.
- Consider bringing someone with you: some tests may temporarily affect your vision.

- Up-to-date Carte Vitale (French health card)
- Proof of health coverage (if needed)
- Photo ID
- Complementary health insurance card
- Current prescriptions and medications
- Relevant previous test results
- Referral letter from your GP (when relevant)

Frequently asked questions
Should I bring someone with me?
Depending on the tests, your vision may be temporarily affected (for example after pupil dilation). It is wise not to drive immediately afterwards and to arrange for someone to accompany you if needed.
